Fantastic stay!
We have stayed in many guesthouses and hotels in Ambleside, but after a stay at Melrose we will not be looking around in future. The amazing service started when I had an issue booking online, I called and went to answer phone. I would have moved on to another hotel, but Tracey called back within a minute and sorted the use issue. We then received a text the day before our stay saying at could check in at 10am and use the car park, which was a huge bonusOn arrival, Tracey greeted us and was so welcoming. We were shown up to our room which was immaculate. In fact, we even tried to find fault in the whole guesthouse, but there is clearly a lot of pride taken and nothing looked even slightly tired.The breakfast was as good as you get - fantastic quality items and a great choice. Tracey again was attentive and friendly.We really cannot fault Melrose. It's in a prime location, has car parking, clean, comfortable, great food and amazing hospitality. We are always thinking of returning.
